Our residents receive assistance in all aspects of personal care from our care team. We have two full-time nurses who manage the care of those requiring nursing care with input and support from NHS community care.
We enjoy good links with visiting community services, GP, Dentist, Podiatrist, Physio, Dieticians, highly skilled professionals that support our staff in the provision of high-quality seamless care.

Who We Are

We offer high quality residential and nursing care for elderly persons over
65 years, delivered by a team of highly trained well managed staff. Our primary objective is to improve the quality of life of our residents.
Eastpark Gardens - Abbeyfield Rutherglen, Society, is a nonprofit making organisation which is located in a quiet residential area of Rutherglen and it comprises of a modern purpose-built houses sited within large well maintained gardens, all with disabled access, allowing residents to sit and enjoy in the good weather or even indulge in a spot of gardening if they wish to do so. In summer staff often service afternoon tea to residents and their visitor on the lawn area, in the colder month we have a lovely conservatory so the garden can be enjoyed all year round.
Abbeyfield Rutherglen cares for a total of 18 residents, we offer a home from home, the atmosphere is friendly and familiar. We get to know our residents and their families like they are part of our family. We offer true person-centred care, our residents’ needs and wishes are at the heart of all we provide.
We are registered to provided care and support for eighteen residents that require residential and nursing care. It is a beautiful roomy house, with a large lounge / dining area and large conservatory which regularly hosts entertainers, religious services and fun activities but also provides a charming relaxing area for residents to spend time with their family and friends. Seven of the rooms within Eastpark Gardens have ensuite facilities and all room have access to newly refurbished wet shower rooms and bathrooms. We also have a small hair salon and the hairdresser visits twice a week or more if required.

Food & Nutrition
Our dedicated kitchen staff provides breakfast, lunch and dinner daily. Morning and afternoon teas and coffees are also served between meals with a selection of homemade cakes and biscuits. Before bed Tea, Coffee, Horlicks Hot chocolate .. is served with a light supper.

Meals are served within our comfortable dining areas and conservatories, but meals can also be delivered to residents’ room if this is their preference.
All fresh, local produce is used to offer a wide and varied menu, all meals provide a balanced nutritional diet that caters for all dietary requirements and preferences.



Our dementia sensory room is a specially designed space that provides a calming and engaging environment for individuals living with dementia.

The management team and well trained, highly motivated, caring and conscientious team of carers ensure that all residents within Eastpark Gardens receive the highest standard of care whilst maintaining a warm and relaxing atmosphere, in which residents can feel safe and secure.
Staff aid residents to not only maintain their independence, but to promote their rights as valued members of their community. An individual lifestyle is essential no matter how old or dependent we are, so all staff ensures lifestyle choices are maintained.
Our highly motivated purposeful activity co-ordinator ensures that our residents are kept active physically and mentally, to make the most of every day with exercise classes, quizzes,
board-games, crafts, outings, musical events as well as religious observance services.
